Free Alisson Hernández Sánchez. He Belongs In School, Not Detention

Alisson Hernández Sánchez was brought to the United States in 1994 when he was only five years old and has lived here for 15 years.

Alisson was a great student in high school, and very involved in his community. He participated in the soccer team and was part of the band playing the saxophone.

On October 11th Alisson was arrested because of a minor accident. No one was hurt. He was processed for deportation and is currently in Stewart Detention Center. On November 23rd, 2010 Judge Harrington ordered removal at Stewart Detention Center.

He is now expected to be sent back to a country he does not know, and where he does not have any immediate relatives. His story represents thousands of young undocumented immigrants accused of the crime of being undocumented in the only country they call home.
